Product Review: Lingo by Abbott
It must be my lucky week — another over-the-counter continuous glucose monitoring system, this time from Abbott. It’s crazy to think that these products were once available only by prescription, and now we have two direct-to-consumer biowearable products we can purchase. It’s almost like we’re catching up with the rest of the world (insert sarcasm). Continuous glucose monitoring without a prescription is finally here—introducing Dexcom Stelo! The Stelo Glucose Biosensor System (Stelo) is an over-the-counter device that delivers real-time glucose data, no prescription required. Libre 2 vs Libre 3 Wearers of Freestyle Libre 3 will notice four key differences from the Libre 2, including sensor size, smartphone connectivity, sensory applicator, and over accuracy. Size The Libre 3 sensor is notably smaller, lighter and much more flexible when positioned on the back of the…

Product Review: Mueller Spiralizer
Since following some new low-carb/diabetic-friendly feeds on social media, I’ve seen a lot of vegetable pastas. Not just wheat noodles made from spinach or tomatoes, but actual veggies cut into strands; the most popular being zucchini noodles, or zoodles. Interested in taste testing, I searched gourmet food markets without luck. Turns out, you can make zoodles at home with a kitchen tool called a spiralizer.
